Capability

Everything that goes into the machine is made here.

Mechanical design, gauging electronics, PLC programming and SPC software sit under one roof at Kharadi. That is why a fixture for a part nobody else gauges is a normal week, not a special project.

In-house design & build

Fixture design, electronics, panel building and software are written by the same team that commissions the machine on your floor. Nothing important is subcontracted, so when a parameter changes six months after handover there is someone here who knows why it was built that way.

  • Fixture design
  • Gauging electronics
  • Panel building
  • PLC & HMI
  • SPC software

Measured in microns

Contact-type LVDT and non-contact air gauging, with accuracy and repeatability held to ± 0.001 mm. Every air gauge is supplied with two setting masters so magnification stays correct through the life of the tool rather than drifting quietly.

  • ± 0.001 mm
  • LVDT contact
  • Non-contact air
  • Two setting masters

Traceable by serial

Readings are recorded against a unique serial read automatically by a 2D datamatrix reader, then stored on the unit and exported for SPC and audit. When a customer asks about a part shipped eight months ago, the answer is a lookup rather than an investigation.

  • 2D datamatrix
  • Cognex reader
  • 1 crore samples
  • Report e-mail

Poka-yoke by default

Interlocks, rejection-bin sensing and tri-colour status are built in, not added on. A part that fails cannot quietly continue down the line — the bin sensor confirms it actually reached the reject bin before the next cycle will start.

  • Bin sensing
  • Station interlocks
  • Tri-colour status
  • Tower lamp & buzzer

Under one roof

Nothing important is outsourced.

Fixture designGauging layout, probe positions and cycle worked out before anything is cut.
Gauging electronicsOur own air and air-electronic display units, up to eight channels.
Panel building & PLCWiring, programming and HMI screens for every automatic machine.
SPC softwareWritten in-house, so a customer request is a change we can actually make.
Assembly & provingMachines built and run against masters before they leave the works.

Two ways to measure

Air or contact, chosen for the part.

Neither is better in the abstract. The component, the tolerance and the environment decide it, and plenty of our systems use both.

Air gauging

Nothing touches the gauging face, so there is no wear and no marking on a finished surface. High pressure gives a fast response and self-cleans the gauging area, which matters on a wet or swarf-heavy line.

  • No wear on the gauging member
  • Size, taper and ovality read at once
  • Self-cleaning in dirty environments
  • Plug, calliper and ring configurations

Contact type · LVDT

Probes reach features air cannot — runout, concentricity, flatness, linear distances and heights — and drive the multi-parameter fixtures where a dozen results come off a single cycle.

  • Runout, concentricity and flatness
  • Up to eight results on one display
  • Dynamic reading with motorised rotation
  • Suits multi-parameter fixtures

Parameters

What we are asked to hold.

A single fixture routinely returns a dozen of these inside ten to fifteen seconds.

Inside diameter Outside diameter Taper Ovality Runout Face runout Concentricity Cylindricity Flatness Parallelity Radial thickness Width & height Linear distance Groove diameter Hole PCD Tooth counting Stagger height Window width

If it has a tolerance, we can build the gauge that holds it.

Send the component drawing and the parameters that matter. You will get a gauging approach, a fixture concept and a price.
